Email and Calendars all are fine. The issue is birthdays and anniversaries do not sync and in fact area always 1 day off. Regardless of if I start the contact birthdate in Outlook or on an IOS device once Outlook syncs the dates change by 1 day on the devices. This was not occurring on my Outlook on a PC and only started with Outlook on the Mac. Keychain Access User Guide
By default, your keychain password is the same as your user password (the password you use to log in to the computer). You can change the user password in Users & Groups preferences and the keychain password is automatically changed to match it.
If you don’t remember your previous user password, you need to reset your default keychain. Resetting the default keychain deletes all the passwords saved in the keychain, but should allow you to sync up your login password and the password stored in the keychain.
- In the Keychain Access app on your Mac, choose Keychain Access > Preferences.
- Click Reset My Default Keychain.
- In the Finder on your Mac, choose Apple menu > Log Out. When you log in again, save your current login password in a keychain.
If your user password was reset because you forgot your password, and you can’t provide the old password for the keychain, you won’t be able to access the information in the old keychain, and a new blank keychain is created.

I use my personal Mac to access corporate emails. Every month the Active Directory password is required to be changed on the Windows AD laptop.
Upon setting up a new password for Windows AD, the Outlook for Mac AD password is out of sync. On the last few occasions, I have deleted the keychain (resetting it to default) and that is a painful exercise as it removes all my other passwords in Safari, Mail client and all other applications.
So while Outlook works fine after deleting keychain list and resetting it, is there a better option to delete any specific keychains or update passwords elsewhere.
As a process, I do update the: 1. Internet Passwords; and 2. Outlook preferences password, however none of these actions update the AD password for Outlook.
Please help!!
Thanks.
